Sourced in Kolkata, West Bengal these natural bowls are handcrafted from coconut shells. The shells are cut, then sanded and finally polished with coconut oil. The base is sanded flat, so they are easy to stand upright. These are a great size for serving snacks or sweets, and also are perfect size for little hands making them an ideal breakfast bowl for children.

Not only do they look and feel great, they also are good for the environment. Once the coconut water and coconut flesh are removed, it is usual for the shells to be discarded and burnt, creating methane and increasing CO2 into the environment. By up cycling the shells into bowls, not only does the environment benefit but so to do the crafts people who make them. The bowls are reusable, biodegradable and totally natural which means they won’t end up in landfill, pollute the oceans or harm wildlife.
